BJP's PM candidate and Gujarat CM
Narendra Modi is no doubt the news maker and man of the moment. The
latest is that this has drew attention from a NRI filmmaker. Modi's
journey from common man to the CM of Gujarat has caught the interest of
Mitesh Patel. Apparently, Mitesh is going to pump in Rs 40 crore for the
biopic on Modi.
What's more? The big question is that
who will play Narendra Modi? According to reports, noted and versatile
actor Paresh Rawal is likely to reprise Narendra Modi on screen. He is
also going to produce this film under his production house. This film
would be his second production venture while Oh My God is the maiden
one.
However, Mitesh Patel clarified that
this is not "image-building exercise" for Modi ahead of General
elections slated for next year. He said the film would focus on Modi's
rise from tea stall worker to CM of the state. Patel said, "This idea
has been in mind for a while. It has been finalized recently only after
Modi given the permission. "I am very impressed by his progress, so my
movie is based on him and his struggle. I wish to give a positive
message through the film. I have met him and explained my idea to him,
and he said, 'Okay'," Patel, who is originally from Baroda, said. Mitesh
Patel is currently scouting for locations in Delhi. The film will go on
floors in February next year. If things go according to plans, Paresh
Rawal will play Narendra Modi in his biopic.
Paresh is a well-known face for Telugu
audiences as well. He is popular for his roles in Kshana Kshanam, Money
Money and Shankara Dada MBBS.
