She likes challenging roles even more and has now decided to risk as a rape victim. They are remaking a Malayalam film ’22 Female Kottayam’ in both Telugu and Tamil. Nithya Menen is playing a major role in this film and is titled Malini 22 in Telugu. It is the story of a rape victim fighting for justice.The movie is directed by Shri Priya who herself was a star in the 70’s (Antuleni Katha, Vayasu Pilichindi etc.). This will be her debut movie as a director. The filming has completed and will hit the theatres soon. In the wake of the rising crimes against women, the makers have tried to show a solution through Malini 22.
