For sometime this movie is popularized as 'D/o Ram Gopal Varma' and the
maker announced that he is taking real life Ram Gopal Varma's story as
an inspiration partly. But due to some last minute issues, he changed
the Tollywood Movie titled to 'D/o Varma' and released it.
An award winning documentary maker Khaja has produced and directed this film titled 'D/O Varma'. The story behind this flick became quite interesting as our director altered the title to 'Daughter of Varma' just before release. Though director Khaja offered RGV to watch the film and then decided about it, RGV refused to do so. However, the movie is released now, and the talk is mixed with positives and negatives.
Though the movie is good at places and story is striking, selecting a wrong star-cast including lead Vennela Kishore will hit the makers heavily. While some people are raving about this flick as the best of small-budgeted movie made in the recent past, hardcore followers of Varma are intentionally spreading bad-reviews about it. When the film is good, spread a positive word, but why politics around it as if the name Varma is limited to just one person?
